At the surface lies a suffocating air of raw bravado and enthusiasm - which takes on somewhat of a darker tone when one uncovers just what makes her seem so personable. Pound for pound, Larxene is a master manipulator. She has no qualms whatsoever with lying, cheating, seducing, stealing, dealing a few low blows, name calling, arm-twisting, groin-kicking, memory-warping, blackmailing ... You name it, Larxene has done it to get her way. Beware if his nymph is treating you with kindness and generosity... No doubt, she's going to want your blood, sweat, and tears in return. The type who would probably excel with the game of chess - if only she had the patience to learn and the capacity to tolerate losing. Which she does not. It isn't that she doesn't play well with others, either -- In fact, she adores playing with other people. She lives in a world with few boundaries, no rules, and high stakes... and most of the time, she holds all the cards. Or so she imagines. The world (in some imaginable cases, several worlds) is her playroom. It isn't her fault that the playthings she's presented with are often living, breathing people. She shows signs of textbook sociopathic tendencies (often written off as her typical apathetic nature), a distinct fascination with sexual sadism (as described by her favorite author), and displays an infallible and way overinflated sense of self-worth borderlining on narcissism. This sharp-tongued bombshell defends the title of the only female member and unofficial diva of the Organization... Literally, she has no heart. And, judging by her actions, it’s doubtful that she ever had one at all, even before she came to be a Nobody. Outwardly, she shows little interest in recovering that lost piece of herself and regaining her "whole" form, though that is probably part of the intricate indirect rebellions she has taken a liking to. Such behavior has run rampant in Larxene's habits since that somewhat candid friendship with Marluxia had been struck up. All of her so-called ladylike gestures are often dropped in the presence of her pink-haired confidant, although she knows better (perhaps through personal experience) than to antagonize him. Perhaps ... deep within the darkest hollows of her chest lay the dusty memories of what it felt like to be a true-blue human being. To empathize and sympathize, to experience pity and compassion, to live and let live, to wholeheartedly love, to hate... Unfortunately, those distant memories are usually only summoned up to be used as tools in the games she plays. | As the lowest ranking member until Roxas's appearance, it's not surprising that she was lopped into the category of 'rambunctious youngsters' by her superiors along with Marluxia and Axel. She enjoyed the subtle displays of defiance she and her new acquaintances dared to enact from time to time -- Never anything directly disrespectful to Xemnas, of course, as that would spell disaster from all sides. Giving her a cushy seat in the ranks of Castle Oblivion was just asking for trouble. It was a true recipe for violence from the start - With Marluxia in control, she was more than happy to follow orders religiously and rather enjoyed getting under Axel's skin. It was the reigning lord of the castle, Number XI, who hatched the plot to usurp the rest of the Organization using the Keyblade wielder and their newest addition, the Memory Witch Namine'. The frightened little girl was immediately sanctioned as Larxene's personal verbal punching bag and was regularly bullied and belittled. Axel's betrayal triggered a series of events that ultimately led to her less than tragic downfall - and the downfall of the castle itself. Larxene's biggest mistake was unleashing her temper upon Namine' in Sora's presence. The scuffle that ensued as a result nearly killed the Keyblader, but as she was about to deal the finishing blow, his previously scorned friends Donald and Goofy reappeared and the real fight began. With the aid of his comrades, she was defeated and faded back into the darkness from whence she was born. |
Only the Superior trumps wily Number XII in her pinprick-accentuated hand-to-hand combat. Fisted weapons add lightning-quick jabs, stabs, and slashes to the mix... Pun intended. The element of lightning is hers and hers alone within the confines of their exclusive group and it is a power she is simply too proud to hide. Anyone wielding any weapon of metal or electronic function is succeptable to her wrath, which may take the form of conductive shock, static transferrance, or downright lightning raining down from any height or reasonable distance she so pleases. Lightning and electricity from outside sources only heal her wounds and fire her up. To make matters worse for her foes, Larxene herself wields a series of eight pointed and razor-sharp throwing knives that she can summon and recall on command. Heaven help you if you've been struck by one of those: any surface those knives have been implanted into are fair game and direct targets to her terrifying electrical power. Aside from the combative skills, she (along with the rest of the Nobodies) holds the ability to summon dark doors that could lead anywhere from the other side of the room to another world altogether. | The other obvious flaw in her technique is of the physical variation. If for some reason you find yourself in a fight with this cackling nightmare, her goose may just be cooked if you can land a few hard-hitting blows to throw off her maniacal techniques. Even then, you may be putting yourself at risk for en electric shock through physical contact. More deadly than any other flaw of hers, however... Her own rage typically becomes her downfall in situations in and out of combat. While her guile and cunning are certainly up to snuff, it doesn't take much to push her over the edge and fly off the handle about something - or at someone. The mind-mouth filter is hit or miss with Miss Larxene, whether it is caused by her own pride and overconfidence ... or her sheer unpredictability. |
